Portrait Photography

Portrait photography is the category where I have a love-hate relationship with. I like to be outside capturing the natural moments of people, but 2/3's of portrait photography takes place in a studio, where I don't like to be. I feel taking portraits outside challenges me more in my capabilities as a photographer. Using the natural scene of the world with the natural light allows me to capture a portrait of someone in that specific moment in time. I feel as the studio is different in that sense because there are no details about the persons day or life. Not like the details you can get taking outdoor portraits.
